How Orlando Epoxy Flooring Pros Approaches a Floor
Orlando Epoxy Flooring Pros coats concrete slabs throughout Orlando and the four counties around it: Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Lake. Most of our days are spent in garages, but we also coat lanais, pool decks, patios, workshops, warehouses, kitchens and back-of-house floors. Our systems include 100% solids epoxy, polyaspartic, broadcast flake and metallic finishes, and the system is chosen only after we have tested the slab and seen how the space gets used.
Central Florida is hard on coatings in its own particular way. It rarely freezes here, so salt and frost are not the enemies. The trouble comes from humid air for much of the year, a summer rain pattern that can drop inches in an afternoon, ground that sits low among hundreds of lakes, and a sun strong enough to yellow a standard epoxy topcoat. Plan around those and a floor lasts. Ignore them and it peels.
Our usual sequence
- We come to you. We measure the floor, look at how the garage or room is used, and check the slab's moisture.
- We look for problems first. Oil stains, old paint, curing compounds, cracks, spalled control joints and signs of past water all get noted.
- You get it in writing. The quote names the system, each coat, the prep method and the total, making side-by-side bids easy to check.
- We grind, we do not etch. Diamond tooling cuts the surface open, which gives primer something to bite. Acid etching leaves too much to chance.
- Repairs come before color. Cracks, pits and broken joint edges are filled and ground flush.
- We watch the weather. On wet-season jobs we check air and slab temperature plus humidity ahead of each coat and adjust the schedule if the numbers are wrong.
- We tell you the cure times. Before we pack up, you hear the foot-traffic hour, the parking day and the cleaning routine.
Lines we hold
We refuse to roll a coating over a damp or contaminated slab just to keep a date on the calendar. If a moisture reading comes back high, we say so and price the primer that deals with it. If a crack looks structural, or the slab has settled, you hear from us that coating will not solve it. If an HOA needs to see a color sample first, we will bring one.
Reaching us
Phone (689) 232-4403, or fill out the request form on this site. Tell us the town, roughly how big the floor is, and what sits on it now. We will pick a day to visit, look over the concrete and hand over a price on paper.
